Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Manage Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our means and that our costs are under control.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that our customers feel valued and respected.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have accurate and up-to-date information to inform our business decisions.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit reports, ensuring that our management team has the information they need to make informed decisions.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service establishment, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, physically demanding, attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player.
