Overview

Scope of the Position

The Quality Manager oversees the quality division, ensuring the implementation and maintenance of quality and document control systems. This role involves interviewing, training, developing, evaluating, promoting, and disciplining team members. The manager will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives and support comprehensive quality enhancement efforts across the organization. Additionally, the role includes leading the development, execution, and follow-up of Corrective Action Plans in response to quality issues.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and enhance techniques for quality and reliability control.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering on modifications and improvements.
  • Assist in prototype production and the collection and analysis of data.
  • Foster a positive work environment and boost employee morale.
  • Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
  • Design and implement systems for data collection, maintenance, and analysis.
  • Identify and resolve both basic and complex issues by reviewing relevant information and evaluating options.
  • Ensure that production meets quality specifications.
  • Provide on-site support to customers and suppliers as necessary.

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a comprehensive background in quality management.
  • Six Sigma certification is preferred.
  • Understanding of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership techniques.
  • Knowledge of customer needs, quality standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation.
  • Familiarity with production processes, quality control, and cost-effective manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in database applications and administrative systems, particularly Microsoft Office and statistical software.
  • Capacity to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
