Job Summary

Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC - B85 is seeking an experienced and innovative Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Operations Team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for our associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement WHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, regional, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular site audits to identify and mitigate risks, and provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with WHS policies.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes.
  • Partner with Operations Team to execute company WHS policies and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and execute leadership development plans for WHS professionals.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications, including pivot tables and chart development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with mix of exempt and nonexempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
  • Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Cambridge, ON, CAN. Must be able to work flexible shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
