We are a leading manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment equipment solutions, operating under the brand names Graver Water Systems and Ecodyne. Our technologies cater to various markets, including petrochemical/chemical, power generation, and heavy industrial plants.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our New Equipment group. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in designing and detailing custom process equipment, with a strong understanding of piping codes and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop 3D piping layouts for skid-mounted process equipment from P&ID drawings, adhering to piping codes and client specifications.
- Produce structural skid detail drawings for fabrication.
- Produce pipe spool detail drawings for fabrication.
- Develop various bill of materials and lists for piping materials and valves.
- Support team members and projects from other departments as required.
- Previous experience with SolidWorks software is mandatory.
- Interface regularly with other disciplines, reporting to the Mechanical Design Supervisor.
- 5–10 years of Mechanical engineering design experience using SolidWorks.
- Experience with design and modeling/drafting process equipment and piping.
- Technical competence in process equipment design, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prepare detailed equipment models from P&IDs and client specifications.
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment.
- Ability to plan and properly organize workflow to meet varying workload demands and adapt to changing and competing priorities.
- Problem-solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical.
- Experience with MS office software, including Excel.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with water treatment equipment design/drafting, B31.3 and/or B31.1 piping codes, structural steel design/drafting, and SMAP3D in Solidworks.
