Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team in Burlington/Toronto offices. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for preparing mechanical layouts, conceptual and detail drawings, and ensuring that our high standard of quality is maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Develop mechanical layouts in 2D and 3D environments.
- Produce layout relevant deliverables such as design criteria, design drawings, and reports.
- Deliver design drawings according to project-specific design criteria and defined regulations, codes, and standards.
- Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects.
- Support proposal managers in providing input into the proposal and estimates.
- Facilitate and ensure interdisciplinary coordination when developing the model.
We are looking for a candidate with a Mechanical Engineering Technician diploma or equivalent, and 5-10 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Layout and design drafting of Mineral Processing Plants within a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Gold and Copper commodities experience.
- Experience in layout design of mineral processing plants for studies and projects.
- Understanding of major mineral processing equipment and interconnecting equipment and chutework.
- Proficient with Autodesk products (Autocad, AdvanceSteel, Plant3D) 2d and 3d.
- Excellent communication skills, be detailed-oriented, a self-starter, organized, be able to work independently to produce drawings within a strict deadline schedule.
