Job Summary

Pooni Transport is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and safe handling.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Pre-Trip, En-Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough inspections to identify any issues or concerns, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Communication and Record-Keeping: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Handling and Safety: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and handling of dangerous goods.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess an AZ class license and have a valid driver's license.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, including driver logbooks, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular schedule, with 35 to 40 hours per week, and be available for on-call duties as needed.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
