Job Summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fueling equipment and vehicles.

Main Responsibilities

  • Receive and prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion of repairs
  • Inspect and diagnose issues with fueling equipment and vehicles
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic, electric, and mechanical systems
  • Obtain replacement parts and install them as required
  • Collaborate with supervisors to resolve complex issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and provide status updates on open work orders

Requirements

  • Qualified Heavy Equipment Technician – Truck and Transport Mechanic or equivalent, minimum five (5) years related experience
  • Knowledge of heavy-duty diesel/automotive equipment and experience with troubleshooting and repair of complex hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Flexibility to work all hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by operational requirements
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and comfortable with bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling various items
  • Clean driving record with Drivers Abstract certified copy
  • Ability to obtain and hold all required security clearances and airport driving permits

Preferred Qualifications

  • Own tools and ability to operate various power and hand tools safely
