We are seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative team environment.
- Provide routine check-ups, health screenings, and preventive care to patients.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including mental health conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies.
- Prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices in family medicine.
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
- Emergency department experience is an asset.
- College of Family Physicians of Canada ER certification would be considered an asset.
