Family Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of comprehensive primary health care services, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and management of chronic conditions.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to providing patient-centered care, with a focus on preventive medicine and health promotion. You will also be expected to participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities, as well as utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) to record all relevant patient details.

Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, with a focus on preventive medicine and health promotion
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities
- Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) to record all relevant patient details
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
