Family Medicine Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Queens General Hospital in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care, with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and management of chronic diseases. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care
- Participating in quality improvement and evaluation activities
- Utilizing an electronic medical record (EMR) to record patient details
- Providing emergency department coverage as needed
Qualifications include:
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
