Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our laboratory operations and contributing to the delivery of high-quality analytical results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of laboratory procedures, including sample preparation, reagent preparation, and calibration solution preparation.
- Provide general laboratory support, including washing glassware, cleaning workstations, and waste disposal.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot intermediate instruments.
- Compile, verify, and validate accurate data records.
- Meet quality assurance and turn-around specifications.
- Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Report results.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education with a Technical Diploma or Science Degree would be an asset.
- Previous laboratory work experience.
- Basic computer skills with experience with MS Office and LIMS.
- Good communication skills and fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment.
- Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Mature work ethic, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds from time to time.
