Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Lead BIM Specialist to enhance our civil infrastructure team. This role involves close collaboration with design engineers across various disciplines, where your expertise will contribute to our innovative projects. If you are passionate about advancing design and engineering practices to deliver significant contributions to the built environment, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside civil engineers and project teams to develop and implement BIM models for civil engineering initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior BIM professionals, fostering their growth and development.
  • Establish and maintain project data environments to ensure effective management and accessibility of information throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create and refine complex civil infrastructure models, including transportation networks, drainage systems, and utility layouts using Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Generate precise civil engineering drawings and documentation utilizing AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Translate engineering sketches and markups into accurate BIM models with minimal oversight.
  • Review project outputs for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards.
  • Prepare equipment schedules, quantity takeoffs, and other essential project deliverables leveraging model elements in Autodesk Construction Cloud and related software.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in BIM modeling and design within the civil engineering sector.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities or a strong desire to cultivate leadership skills in a collaborative environment.
  • Expertise in Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation and NavisWorks is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork across multidisciplinary groups.
  • Proven ability to excel in a team-oriented setting, showcasing strong planning and organizational capabilities.
