This leadership position demands a strategic thinker with a passion for education and a deep understanding of the post-secondary landscape. You will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure program excellence, fiscal sustainability, and alignment with institutional goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development and Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate Health and Human Services programs. This includes conducting feasibility studies, creating business cases, and ensuring program viability from both a quality and financial perspective.
  • Enrollment Optimization: Analyze enrollment trends and work with Chairs to make recommendations to the Dean for optimizing student numbers. Your insights will contribute to program sustainability and resource allocation.
  • Financial Stewardship: Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure responsible financial practices within the programs. You will be responsible for demonstrating fiscal accountability and promoting cost-effective operations.
  • Curriculum Innovation: Contribute to the development and review of curriculum materials, ensuring they remain relevant, engaging, and aligned with industry standards. Your expertise will help shape the educational experience for students.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external partners. You will effectively communicate program goals, updates, and achievements to diverse audiences.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate possesses a Master's degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of five years of progressive academic leadership experience within the Canadian post-secondary education sector. A demonstrated commitment to program development, curriculum innovation, and financial management is essential.

Experience with proposal writing, research activity, and contract implementation will be highly valued. A doctoral degree is preferred.
