Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at The Grocery Store. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food and service standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and implement efficient work schedules to meet business demands
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and food service helpers
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure quality control standards are met
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Prepare and submit reports to management
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and menu offerings
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
Work Environment

The Grocery Store is a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be working in a noisy kitchen environment with a team of up to 10 staff members.
