About the Role

The BC Public Service Agency is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As an Integrated Practice Clinician, you will provide Child and Youth Mental Health services, including intake, assessment, and treatment, to children and youth in care.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners to ensure seamless provision of services to support the mental health and well-being of children, youth, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health services to children and youth in care, including intake, assessment, and treatment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners to ensure seamless provision of services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to support the mental health and well-being of children and youth.
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers to promote healthy relationships and coping strategies.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, Educational Counselling, Clinical Counselling, Clinical Psychology, or Child and Youth Care.
  • At least one year of full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community-based mental health services.
  • A valid class 5 BC Driver's license with no restrictions or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Two years or more experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community-based mental health services.
  • Experience in providing direct interventions around trauma-based behaviors of children and youth.
  • Experience providing a variety of outreach and community-based work-related activities.
