About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Planner to join our Mental Health team. As a key member of our program administration team, you will play a lead role in planning and supporting the implementation of designated initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical project coordination for designated projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Lead planning processes to identify specific needs within Mental Health & Addictions and other areas of health.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic initiatives identified by the Mental Health & Addictions Clinical Services Planning & Delivery Team.
  • Work collaboratively with Mental Health & Addictions managers to ensure VCH-wide plans meet standards for implementation across the health authority.
  • Research and recommend policies and practices to support care delivery models in Mental Health & Addictions.
  • Consult with physicians, managers, staff, consumers, and family members, as well as other stakeholders, to inform decision-making.
  • Develop and complete an action research/evaluation process to gather and share expertise for incorporation into Mental Health & Addiction plans.
  • Manage the transition of assigned projects through the development state and ensure the transition of management to the identified responsible community manager.
Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in a health-related discipline.
  • Five years recent experience related to the designated initiative or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge and clinical experience in designated area.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in community development.
  • Demonstrated ability in change management and change processes.
  • Ability to undertake program evaluation.
  • Experience with budget development.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with diverse populations and stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office group of products.
