We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medicine department at Royal Columbian Hospital. As a PICC Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and performing peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) insertions.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients receiving IV therapy and collect information from various sources to make informed nursing decisions.
- Perform PICC insertions and maintain IV lines, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on IV care and self-management.
- Document patient assessments, nursing diagnoses, and interventions according to practice standards.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Advanced proficiencies in peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC) insertions.
- Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes as required.
