Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to take on the role of Market Director within our Business Banking Centre.

Role Responsibilities:

As the Market Director, your primary objective will be to cultivate a high-performing team that aligns with our growth strategy while ensuring an exceptional member experience. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Leading a team of business banking professionals focused on the small to mid-sized commercial sector, emphasizing new member acquisition through loans, deposits, and ancillary services.
  • Managing a targeted portfolio of key client relationships.
  • Formulating and executing a comprehensive business development strategy aimed at attracting new full-service commercial clients and providing them with tailored solutions.
  • Maintaining a professional presence within the community.
  • Guiding your team in delivering customized financial solutions, including structuring, negotiations, and compliance with relevant policies.
  • Exercising senior lender adjudication authority to support your team’s initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of proven experience in commercial relationship management.
  • Strong business development skills, analytical capabilities, and a thorough understanding of portfolio management.
  • Experience in building relationships with members, potential clients, and community stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a team.
  • A university degree in a relevant business discipline.
  • Experience in the Canadian financial sector is preferred.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
