Position Overview:

We are seeking a Market Director for our Business Banking Centre. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in commercial banking and a proven track record in leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of business banking professionals focused on the small to mid-sized commercial sector, emphasizing new member acquisition through loans, deposits, and additional services.
  2. Manage a targeted portfolio of significant relationships while providing guidance to your team on tailored solutions, including structuring, negotiations, and compliance with policies.
  3. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aimed at acquiring new full-service commercial clients, leveraging the expertise of specialists in various financial services.
  4. Maintain a strong professional presence within the community and industry.
  5. As a senior leader, you will hold adjudication limits to empower your team in decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of five years of experience in commercial relationship management.
  2. Demonstrated skills in business development, analytical thinking, and portfolio management.
  3. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with members and community stakeholders.
  4. Experience in leading and developing a high-performing team.
  5. A university degree in a relevant business discipline.
  6. Relevant experience in business or professional banking within a Canadian financial institution.
  7. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
