The Senior Consultant, International Income Tax is tasked with the development, implementation, and execution of tax advisory services.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Foster a collaborative team environment.
- Oversee consulting and compliance assignments delegated to team members.
- Address client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
- Cultivate new client relationships and collaborate with Ryan's global management to broaden service offerings in new markets.
- Partner with Ryan's International Income Tax practice to innovate planning strategies for global clientele.
- Collaborate with the International Income Tax Consultancy-Recovery team to devise new planning solutions for clients worldwide.
- Coordinate the provision of International Income Tax services to multinational clients.
- Deliver presentations to potential clients and stakeholders.
Value Creation:
- Lead and execute International Income Tax consulting initiatives.
- Manage and supervise International Income Tax compliance projects.
- Act as a subject matter expert on International Income Tax within designated jurisdictions.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required, along with a minimum of 10 to 12 years of experience in Income Tax. Candidates should possess strong technical income tax expertise and a thorough understanding of income tax regulations, particularly those related to international trade and cross-border transactions. A proven history of exceptional service delivery and teamwork is essential.
Technical Proficiency:
Successful candidates will demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and online research.
Certifications:
A valid passport is mandatory.
Supervisory Duties:
This role includes direct supervision of employees within the International Income Tax practice, adhering to the firm's policies and relevant laws.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor office setting.
- May involve extended periods of sitting while using a computer.
- Regular interaction with colleagues and clients, both in person and through electronic communication.
- Travel requirements of 30 to 50%.
- Standard workweek exceeding 50 hours.
