Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a highly skilled and organized Proposal Coordinator to join our Southern Ontario Business Development team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and submission of high-quality proposals to secure new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Proposal Production: Collaborate with the Proposal Manager to lead the proposal production process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of proposal responses to clients.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with multiple stakeholders to coordinate and prepare proposal responses, including Expressions of Interest (EOI), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and Requests for Information (RFI).
- Proposal Content Development: Write, proofread, edit, and format proposal content, adapting existing content and boilerplates as needed to ensure a cohesive proposal.
- Document Control: Maintain and update a library of standard marketing materials, including project profiles and resumes.
- Business Development Support: Assist with ad-hoc business development initiatives, such as preparing marketing materials for client presentations.
- Opportunity Identification: Monitor public portals and notify Division Managers of potential business opportunities.
- Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders to ensure proposal requirements are met.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in proposal development and business development.
- Customer Focus: Demonstrate a customer-centric approach to proposal development and business development.
- Problem-Solving and Innovation: Develop creative solutions to complex proposal development challenges.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Education: Degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Experience: 1-2 years of marketing/business development/proposal or related experience, preferably in the Engineering or Construction industry.
- Skills: Writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail, excellent organization and time management skills, and superior communication skills.
- Proposal Coordination: Experience in proposal coordination in a construction setting is an asset.
- Technical Skills: Proficient user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and PDF editing software.
