About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at NAS Inc. in Calgary. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including hygiene routines, meal preparation, and house chores.
  • Assist individuals with daily activities, such as getting groceries and attending medical appointments.
  • Develop and implement behavioral support plans to advance and achieve individuals' goals.
  • Provide medical, technological, environmental, physical, and behavioral support to individuals.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a safe and supportive environment for individuals.
Requirements
  • Diploma in the Human Services sector or Disability Sector (equivalencies will be considered).
  • One to two years of relevant experience in the human services field would be an asset.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle with a minimum of $2,000,000 liability insurance.
  • Intermediate computer and administration skills.
  • Minimum required training in Emergency First Aid & CPR Level A.
Preferred Requirements
  • Previous knowledge regarding Autism Spectrum & Developmental Delays would be an asset.
  • Previously trained and have knowledge of medication administration.
  • Relevant training such as Non-violent Crises Intervention, Abuse Prevention Response Protocol, and Positive Behavior Supports, etc.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive wage of $21.19 per hour, with the potential for a raise after the annual evaluation. After three months of probationary period, you will be eligible for health and dental benefits along with 5 flex days after six months of employment.
