New Age Services Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Disability Support Worker. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support to individuals with developmental disabilities and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to individuals with daily living needs, including hygiene routines, meal preparation, and house chores.
- Assist with medication administration and ensure the individual's health and well-being are maintained.
- Support individuals with community integration, including attending medical appointments, sporting activities, and social events.
- Develop and implement programs to promote the individual's growth and development.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure a safe and supportive environment for individuals.
- Diploma in the Human Services sector or Disability Sector (equivalencies will be considered).
- One to two years of relevant experience in the human services field would be an asset.
- Valid class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle with a minimum of $2,000,000 liability insurance.
- Intermediate computer skills and administration skills.
- Minimum required training in Emergency First Aid & CPR Level A.
- Previous knowledge regarding Autism Spectrum & Developmental Delays would be an asset.
- Previously trained and have the knowledge of medication administration.
- Relevant trainings such as Non-violent Crisis Intervention, Abuse Prevention Response Protocol, and Positive Behavior Supports, etc.
