Position Overview

As a Personal Support Worker at Edgardo Aguila, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through compassionate care and support.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 month and up to 7 months of relevant experience is preferred.
Work Environment
  • Site Conditions: Non-smoking environment.
  • Accommodation: Optional live-in accommodation available at no cost, though this is not a condition of employment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Assist clients with water activities, such as swimming.
  • Support clients in maintaining regular physical activity, including walking.
  • Manage laundry and care for household linens.
  • Perform minor repairs on clothing and linens.
  • Conduct light housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
  • Plan and prepare therapeutic diets and meals.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
  • Deliver personal care services as needed.
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals.
Certifications
  • Possession of a Personal Support Worker Certificate is required.
Safety and Security
  • A criminal record check is mandatory.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
