We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Safety Engineer to join our team at CS Group Canada. As a leader in the development and certification of safety-critical systems, we are looking for an expert with practical expertise in safety/mission critical embedded systems to contribute to the development of next-generation electric and autonomous on-road and off-road vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Safety Analysis and Risk Assessment
- Prepare safety and security analysis in accordance with industry standards, including ISO 26262, ISO 13849, and IEC 61508.
- Conduct hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards throughout the system lifecycle.
- Safety Goal Definition and Requirements
- Define safety goals and requirements for system components and subsystems, including hardware and software.
- Safety Analysis and Performance Evaluation
- Perform safety analyses, including FMEA, FTA, DFA, and fault injection, to evaluate system safety performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Technical Collaboration and Review
- Participate in technical discussions as part of business development efforts.
- Perform reviews on functional safety and cybersecurity work products.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years experience in system safety engineering, with a focus on automotive systems.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA / HAZOP).
- Experience in system safety analysis type FMEA.
- Experience with at least one of the following: ISO 26262, ISO 13849, IEC 61508.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Advanced medical, dental, and vision insurance.
