Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Stucco Plasterer to join our team at Pacific Stone and Building Supplies Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plaster application and finishing techniques.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of relevant experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities
  • Apply, level, and smooth plaster coats to various surfaces.
  • Construct and install suspended metal ceiling frameworks and fit panels for acoustical and decorative ceilings.
  • Finish corners and angles, creating decorative designs in the final coat as necessary.
  • Fabricate and install ornamental plaster elements, including cornices and trims.
  • Smooth excess compound and allow the application to dry properly.
  • Trowel or spray stucco coatings on building exteriors to ensure weatherproofing.
  • Cut openings in lath for the installation of heating, ventilation, and electrical systems.
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around structural beams for plaster application.
  • Set up metal stud framing and furring for drywall or plaster installations, utilizing both hand and power tools.
  • Estimate project costs and required materials accurately.

  • Physical demands include bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy materials.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods is essential.
  • Walking is a necessary part of the job.
