Job Title: Community Mental Health Worker 2

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Mental Health Worker 2 to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team at the Kamloops Mental Health Centre.

About the Role

This is a casual opportunity, with a variable schedule of up to 37.5 hours per week. As a Community Mental Health Worker 2, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide psychosocial rehabilitation services to individuals with severe and persistent mental health problems and/or substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide life skills, advocacy, supportive counseling, and psychosocial rehabilitation planning to clients
  • Establish rehabilitation objectives and/or psychosocial rehabilitation plans for assigned client populations
  • Engage clients in various community settings as meaningful collaborators in their own service planning, delivery, and evaluation
  • Work within a psychosocial rehabilitation/harm reduction framework and informed by existing psychiatric and other health professional assessments
