Service Desk Technician

At Tolko Industries, we are seeking a highly skilled Service Desk Technician to join our team. As a Service Desk Technician, you will be the champion of IT within the business unit, building strong partnerships and delivering IT support and solutions that keep our business running.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Tier 1 support for Tolko standard applications and End User Computing standards.
  • Receive, prioritize, document, and actively resolve end-user requests and escalate incidents when necessary to maintain Service Level Agreements.
  • Report to the Lead, Service Desk.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or university degree in computer science or equivalent work experience in a customer service-focused IT role.
  • Experience with service desk ticketing systems.
  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware, including desktops, servers, storage, mobile devices, and network devices.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related applications (Office, Teams, OneDrive).
