Retail Store Manager

Port Hardy Town Pantry is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team.
Job SummaryThe Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a high level of sales performance.
Key Responsibilities- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are adequately trained to meet customer needs.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively.
- Order merchandise and authorize returns to maintain an optimal inventory level.
- Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and efficient store operations.
- Sell merchandise and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise.
- Organize and maintain inventory to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers to ensure a smooth and efficient work environment.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Retail business with a focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining a high level of sales performance.
Supervision- 3-4 people.
- Permanent position.
- English language required.
- 30 to 40 hours per week.
