Job Title: Retail Store Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Manager to join our team at Port Hardy Town Pantry. As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, including managing sales, inventory, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign sales workers to duties and oversee their performance
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles
- Order merchandise and authorize returns to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Establish work schedules to ensure efficient store operations
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
- Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner
- Organize and maintain inventory to prevent stockouts and overstocking
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure seamless store operations
Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role
- Permanent employment with 30 to 40 hours per week
- Fluency in English
