At Cartel Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Defence Law Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our lawyers in the preparation and organization of files, as well as assisting with drafting pleadings and document productions.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and organize file materials, including documentary productions, to ensure timely and accurate preparation of assessments.
- Assist lawyers with drafting pleadings, document production, and preparing for hearings and trials.
- Correspond with counsel to ensure receipt of all productions, including liability and damage productions.
- Provide support on matters related to professional negligence, product liability, motor vehicle accidents, and slip and falls claims.
- Act as liaison between clients and lawyers for day-to-day matters, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of issues.
- 5+ years of experience in Insurance Defence
- Confidential nature with a professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Solid understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Strong organizational and communication skills
