About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Culinary Specialist to join our team at Apples and Angels Montessori School and Day Care. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality and presentation standards.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to food safety protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our kitchen staff to manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and time management.

Our kitchen is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring attention to detail and a strong work ethic. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be working in a team environment, collaborating with our kitchen staff to deliver high-quality food and service to our students and staff.
