Database Analyst

Aitchison College of Technology & Health Sciences Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Database Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and analyzing our data assets, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.
As a Database Analyst, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including:
- Data Analysis: Utilize your expertise to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets, contributing to informed decision-making across the institution.
- Database Design and Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain robust database systems that meet the evolving needs of Aitchison College.
- Data Administration: Implement and enforce data administration policies, standards, and models to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Policy Development: Research and document data requirements, collection procedures, and access rules, contributing to a secure and well-governed data environment.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor teams of data administrators in the implementation of data policies and best practices.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or information technology.
- 2+ years of experience working with database management systems and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., SQL) and data analysis software.
