Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic, diagnostic, technical, and teaching respiratory therapy services to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients, including ventilation, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests and blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the Manitoba Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists (MARRT).
  • Recent and related clinical experience preferred.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT-approved equivalent.
  • Current registration/membership in the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) is preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity are required.
  • Ability to stand and walk and perform manual ventilation with one or both hands for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to run to emergencies.
  • Ability to lift heavy medical equipment, including measuring devices, monitors, and gas cylinders.
  • Ability to push wheeled medical equipment.
  • Ability to move gas cylinders.
  • Ability to assist with the positioning of clients.
