About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Data Specialist to join our team at Wellness North Counselling Ltd. As a key member of our health information management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our clinical data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Abstract, Assemble, and Analyze Clinical Data: You will be responsible for abstracting, assembling, and analyzing clinical data and related demographic information from health records according to established policies and procedures.
  • Collect, Code, and Store Health Records: You will collect, code, cross-reference, and store health records and related information in a secure and confidential manner.
  • Operate Information Systems: You will operate information systems to maintain indexes for classification systems and to manage and retrieve health records information.
  • Prepare Medical, Social, and Administrative Statistics: You will prepare medical, social, and administrative statistics to support our clinical programs and services.
  • Supervise Health Information Management Technicians: You will supervise other health information management technicians and related workers to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our clinical data.
  • Classify, Code, and Store Records: You will classify, code, cross-reference, log, and store records in a secure and confidential manner.
  • Compile Statistics and Reports: You will compile statistics and reports on activities within records management services to support our clinical programs and services.
  • Implement Records Classification Plans: You will implement and update records classification, retention, and disposal scheduling plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Label, Prepare, and Transfer Information Files: You will label, prepare, and transfer information files according to established records management life-cycle procedures and schedules.
  • Operate Information Retrieval Systems: You will operate information retrieval systems to research and extract records in a secure and confidential manner.
About You
  • You have a strong background in health information management and a solid understanding of clinical data analysis and reporting.
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
  • You are proficient in the use of information systems and technology to manage and retrieve health records information.
  • You have a strong commitment to confidentiality and the security of health information.
