Key Responsibilities:
As an Agricultural Input Supervisor, you will take charge of the Crop Input Division, ensuring all operations align with best practices in agronomy, crop protection, fertilizers, and seed technologies. Your role will involve close collaboration with farmers, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize the use of crop inputs, aiming to enhance yields while reducing environmental impact.
- Lead and mentor operational staff and direct reports to guarantee the successful execution of operational strategies.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable local, provincial, and federal regulations concerning the management, storage, and application of crop inputs. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary protocol adjustments.
- Identify, negotiate, and acquire crop inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and seeds from reputable vendors, ensuring timely delivery and competitive pricing.
- Keep abreast of the latest innovations in crop input technologies, including seed genetics and chemical formulations. Provide informed recommendations to farmers based on soil conditions, crop types, and pest challenges.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with essential stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, agronomists, and regulatory bodies, serving as a trusted advisor on crop input matters.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural input management or a related field.
- A bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agribusiness, or a related discipline (a combination of relevant education and experience may be acceptable).
- Comprehensive knowledge of agronomic principles, crop production techniques, and crop protection products.
- Certification with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists or eligibility for certification.
- Strong analytical abilities with a knack for interpreting data and making informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading and collaborating with diverse teams.
- Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license and willingness to travel to field locations as necessary.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more unassisted.
