Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at Plan Group. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a critical role in developing competitive bids for large complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand job specifications and drawings to develop accurate estimates.
  • Conduct site/tender walk-throughs to identify potential issues and develop proactive solutions.
  • Produce detailed material and labour take-offs using estimating software.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify specifications.
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain pricing for inclusion in bids.
  • Participate in bid review meetings and contribute to the development of winning bids.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in the construction industry.
  • An Electrical Engineering degree or diploma, or equivalent trade experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in estimating software such as Accubid Pro and/or Enterprise a definite asset.
