Electrical Estimator Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team in Ottawa, ON. As a key member of our estimating team, you will play a critical role in developing competitive bids for complex, multi-million-dollar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand job specifications and drawings to develop accurate estimates.
  • Conduct site/tender walk-throughs to identify potential issues and opportunities.
  • Produce material and labor take-offs using estimating software to develop competitive quotations.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify specifications.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing for inclusion in the final quotation.
  • Participate in bid review meetings and handover meetings with the project management team.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of electrical estimating experience; trade experience is a definite asset.
  • An Electrical Engineering degree or diploma or related education and/or trade experience.
  • Design-build construction experience, ideally having completed a full-cycle P3 project.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Accubid Pro and/or Enterprise, LiveCount, and Bluebeam Revu is a definite asset.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
