Vessel Maintenance Lead

Position Overview:
The Vessel Maintenance Lead is essential in guaranteeing the upkeep and repair of marine vessels, ensuring they remain in optimal condition. This role encompasses identifying and addressing engineering challenges, orchestrating maintenance schedules, and providing technical guidance for new builds. The Vessel Maintenance Lead will also engage in hands-on mechanical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address reported vessel concerns and evaluate repair requirements
- Organize vessel inspections and comprehensive overhauls
- Guarantee high-quality and timely execution of repair tasks
- Advise on unforeseen expenditures
- Research options and acquire estimates for equipment acquisitions
- Deliver technical advice for new construction initiatives
- Carry out additional responsibilities as necessary
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Marine Engineering or completion of a heavy-duty mechanic apprenticeship
- At least 10 years of experience in marine and marine equipment maintenance
- Experience in marine engineering and welding is advantageous
- Experience in a supervisory role is beneficial
