Home Support Worker Program

Closing the Gap Healthcare Group is dedicated to providing high-quality care to Canadians in the comfort of their own homes. As a leader in the home- and community care industry, we are committed to excellence and innovation.

Program Overview

Our Home Support Worker program is a comprehensive training program designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional care to clients in their homes. The program includes 5 weeks of paid virtual training and 5 weeks of paid on-the-job training, followed by employment opportunities with our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized care to clients in their homes, including assistance with daily living routines, household management, and nutrition
  • Identify healthcare issues and report findings to the care team
  • Work collaboratively with clients and their families to develop and implement care plans
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in home care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
  • A clear Vulnerable Sector Screening check upon hire
  • Able to commit to 10 weeks of full-time training
