Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Water for Life Initiative. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, vision, and direction to the program, ensuring its effective implementation and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership to the Water for Life Initiative, overseeing program implementation and developing required resources.
  • Lead a motivated and engaged team, ensuring clarity on goals and mission, resource productivity, and good long-term decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Mission Integration team to ensure missional and church planting goals are effective within the activities of the Water for Life Initiative.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve primary outcomes, including leadership, direction, spiritual guidance, financial management, administrative oversight, and program monitoring and evaluation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, partners, and donors.
  • Participate in proposal writing, budgeting, and fund development for the Water for Life Initiative.
  • Represent the organization in a professional and diplomatic manner, promoting the mission and values of Communities for Recovery.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a non-profit or ministry leadership role.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the WASH sector.
  • Bible school or seminary training an asset.
  • A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a pre-existing belief and demonstration of lifestyle as outlined in the Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of the relationship between tools, processes, and people in the context of operations.
  • Basic financial acumen and ability to connect activities with financial impact.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to work from a Google Suite platform and travel internationally.
