About the Role

We are seeking an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to join our team at Evertz Microsystems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-bandwidth, high-density signal processing products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop FPGA-based solutions for high-bandwidth applications
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of FPGA designs
  • Work with high-bandwidth interfaces such as 100Gigabit Ethernet and PCIe
  • Develop high-quality, optimized FPGA designs
Requirements
  • Experience with FPGA designs in VHDL or Verilog (VHDL preferred)
  • Understanding of Static Timing Analysis and Timing Closure techniques
  • Experience with C or C++
  • Excellent revision control habits, and experience with Git or Subversion
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience writing test benches and simulating digital designs
  • Experience with in-system debugging of FPGAs
  • Knowledge of clock domain crossing techniques
  • Experience with video or audio signal processing
  • Knowledge of protocols like PCIe, Ethernet, AXI4, Avalon, SPI, I2C, etc.
  • Experience with Python, Tcl, bash or other scripting languages
  • Experience with Linux
