Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled Medication Care Specialist to join our team. As a Medication Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents by administering medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Administration: Provide high-quality care by administering medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner.
- Documentation: Review, read, and document medication administration records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Communication: Receive medication updates from the Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse and communicate effectively with the care team.
- Medication Management: Administer, assist with, and observe medications and treatments for each resident using the medication administration record and the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of all resident information, including medication records.
- Reporting: Report any resident concerns or issues to the Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse.
- Housekeeping: Restock medication carts and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the medication room and carts.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certifications: Maintain certifications in CPR and First Aid, as well as any other required certifications.
- Experience: Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
- Skills: Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents, ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
