Job Description

As a Product Engineer/Technician specializing in fiber cable assemblies, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and testing of fiber optic products.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and compliance with industry regulations.

Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be essential in driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes and new product offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Design & Development:
  • Develop and design fiber optic cable assemblies, ensuring they meet technical specifications and customer requirements.
  • Create detailed product documentation, including specifications, drawings, and assembly instructions.
Material Selection & Testing:
  • Select appropriate materials for fiber optic cables, connectors, and protective coatings based on factors like durability, flexibility, and environmental resistance.
  • Conduct tests to evaluate the performance of materials under various conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity, mechanical stress) to ensure they meet product requirements.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct tests on fiber cable assemblies to ensure performance, durability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Analyze test data and identify any issues or areas for improvement in the product.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, customers, and sales teams.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with fiber optic products and recommend solutions.
Process Improvement:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in product design and production.
Compliance & Standards:
  • Ensure products meet relevant industry standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in fiber optics technology and industry trends.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding or willingness to learn the technical aspects of fiber optics cable, including the design and function of fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components.
  • Engineering Background:
    • Minimum 5 years of technical experience.
    • Degree in Electrical, Telecommunications, or Mechanical Engineering or Technician, or other equivalent experience.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex design issues.
  • Communication:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player:
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
