About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Assembler Level II to join our team at Hillmar Industries Ltd. as a Hydraulic and Electrical Systems Specialist. As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for assembling complex hydraulic and electrical systems, ensuring high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Testing: Assemble hydraulic and electrical systems, including hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and motors, as well as electrical components such as wiring harnesses and circuit boards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure that all assembled systems meet our quality standards, identifying and reporting any defects or issues.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the assembly process.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth production, and communicate effectively with supervisors and other stakeholders to report progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Minimum three-five years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, or equivalent education and training.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and perform mathematical calculations as required. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time. Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, with the ability to use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
