About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Assembler Level II to join our team at Hillmar Industries Ltd. as a Hydraulic and Electrical Systems Specialist. As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for assembling complex hydraulic and electrical systems, ensuring high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Testing: Assemble hydraulic and electrical systems, including hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and motors, as well as electrical components such as wiring harnesses and circuit boards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure that all assembled systems meet our quality standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with assembled systems, working closely with our engineering team to identify and implement solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless production and delivery of high-quality products.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize assembly efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering) is an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum three to five years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, with a focus on hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, including hydraulic and electrical systems; proficiency in assembly and testing procedures; excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Tools and Equipment: Familiarity with pneumatic tools and equipment; ability to operate a forklift (certification an asset).
