We prioritize excellence and are dedicated to nurturing and developing our teams.The Director of Medical Operations will be tasked with effectively steering medical operational activities, ensuring that business objectives are not only met but surpassed in terms of service scope, quality benchmarks, risk management, delivery timelines, and cost efficiency.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in formulating and executing strategic medical operations and robust sourcing initiatives, alongside effective supplier management processes to align with business objectives.
Responsibilities include:- Overseeing sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management;
- Coordinating the efforts of both internal and external personnel involved in procuring medical materials, products, and services;
- Establishing and implementing departmental and team objectives that align with business goals, fostering collaboration and coordination of operational activities with key stakeholders;
- Supervising and guiding employees, managing day-to-day operations, as well as overseeing recruitment, training, and development to ensure a high standard of service delivery;
- Leading the development and execution of sourcing strategies to meet projected operational budgets;
- Driving cost reduction initiatives and ensuring effective control measures are in place to manage purchase price variances;
- Providing insights and recommendations for the creation and implementation of processes and procedures that support the departmental vision for Medical Operations and strategic Supply Chain;
- Managing the requests for proposals (RFPs);
- Acting as the primary point of escalation for operational issues related to internal support, procurement, and supplier performance.
A certificate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, operations management, or business administration is preferred;
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, including the development of business strategies or equivalent experience;
Experience in medical procurement is considered an asset;
Previous experience in the aviation industry, including a thorough understanding of modern aircraft;
Proven ability to cultivate relationships with internal customers and external suppliers to enhance operational performance and process improvement;
Demonstrated capability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities effectively;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and ERP systems.
