Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

GS Construction is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Excavation Specialist, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, and trenchers to perform excavation and construction tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to complete excavation and construction tasks.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks as needed.
  • Prepare accident reports and secure special attachments to equipment.
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment to coordinate with team members.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment to minimize downtime.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in dusty and dangerous environments.
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
