About the Role

Adecco Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Ottawa, ON. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on employee relations matters, conducting investigations, and recommending actions for disciplinary and performance issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Process Development: Develop and integrate HR processes within the faculty/service framework to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • HR Policy and Procedure Management: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and practices to provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff.
  • Employee Relations: Provide expert advice on employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and recommend actions for disciplinary and performance issues.
  • Grievance Resolution and Collective Bargaining: Participate in grievance resolution and collective bargaining processes to ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees.
  • New Employee Orientation: Facilitate new employee orientation sessions to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Training and Development: Assess training needs, collaborate on development plans, and monitor and report on training activities within the faculty/service.
  • Performance Management: Support management and staff in performance appraisal processes, recommend actions to enhance employee performance and growth, and provide coaching and development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Postsecondary education in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • HR Experience: Minimum 3+ years of HR experience, with proficiency in staffing, classification, employee relations, or organizational development.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with HR laws and practices, including collective agreements, strong computer skills, and proficiency in office software.
  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual proficiency in French and English (spoken and written).
