Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Safety Manager to join our team at TEAM, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all radiographic duties are performed safely and in accordance with Federal, Provincial, and local regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain company policy, radiation safety manuals, procedures, and training programs for district offices across Canada.
  • Establish and maintain radiography operating procedures, emergency and operating procedures, and transport of dangerous goods manuals.
  • Develop and implement training programs for radiography personnel, including ALARA concepts and techniques.
  • Establish programs to determine the competency of radiography personnel and maintain control of procurement and disposal of nuclear substances.
  • Assure that personnel monitoring programs, radiation survey instruments, and equipment are in place and maintained.
  • Investigate incidents and determine corrective/preventive action.
  • Monitor and assume control in emergencies and serve as liaison with regulators and management.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred, with emphasis on math and physics.
  • RSO third-party training and subsequent refresher training.
  • Source retrieval training and TDG third-party training.
  • Third-party auditor training and asset.
  • Minimum five years' experience in the NDE industry, with CGSB RT level 1 certification and/or CEDO certification.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Windows and MS Office experience.
Working Conditions
  • Work is conducted in a private/semi-private office/cubicle setting.
  • Some short-term national travel is required.
  • May work in an indoor/outdoor field environment from time to time.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
